Description

As part of the jubilee 10th edition of Erasmus Day, which this year is based on “the skills of the future” at Pula Youth Centre, we are announcing a public event organized by the School for Tourism, Hospitality and Trade in Pula.

This praiseworthy project called S.K.I.L.L.S. for TOMORROW (Sustainable Knowledge in Innovative Learning Strategies) is truly an example of excellent practice in education. It is our great desire to show other schools and students that all the incredible opportunities for education, progress and adoption of modern skills exist today through European programs.

The project is the second consecutive of three approved by the Agency for Mobility and EU Programmes, with a total value of 55.369.00 euros. It is implemented from December 2025 to February 2027.

What has been done and what is the purpose of the project?
The main goal is to provide students with better and more contemporary learning opportunities, bring them closer to the real world of work and empower teachers for innovative, interdisciplinary and sustainable teaching.

  • Practice for students: students of catering courses learned in real working environments in Linz and Eferding (Austria). There they developed professional, linguistic, communication and digital skills and learned about modern work with an emphasis on sustainability, local/seasonal foods and zero waste approach.
  • Job-shadowing for teachers: through visits to vocational schools in Sweden, Austria and Italy, teachers exchanged experiences with colleagues and developed ideas for interdisciplinary activities in teaching.
  • Sustainable results: the acquired knowledge is transferred to the day-to-day work of the school through the launch of the school Green bar“ and new projects connecting different vocational areas.

Join us at a public event!
On the occasion of Erasmus Day, we want to bring this important process of modernizing education closer to the public and other schools. 15 October and experience part of this European story through:

  1. A presentation of students who will share their experiences in international practice first hand.
  2. An interactive quiz where you can win symbolic prizes.
  3. Tasting of non-alcoholic cocktails in an appropriate “Green bar” run by the students themselves under the mentorship of a catering teacher.

Come, get inspired and find out how your school or your students can benefit from all the benefits that Erasmus+ has to offer!

See you on 15.10.2026. at 11 am in Pula Youth Centre!
